Introduction #️⃣
SSO provides these key benefits:
- Improved Security: Centralized authentication reduces security risks from password reuse and simplifies enforcing strong authentication policies.
- Streamlined Workflows: Team members can quickly access Localazy without interrupting their workflow to find or reset credentials.
- Simplified User Management: Onboarding and offboarding team members becomes more efficient and secure, with access controls managed through your identity provider.
Supported SSO Providers #️⃣
Localazy currently supports SSO integration with any SAML 2.0 provider, including:
- Google Workspace
- Microsoft Azure/Entra ID
Prerequisites #️⃣
- Localazy Enterprise plan is required for SSO functionality
- Organization Owner permissions needed
- Admin access to your identity provider (e.g. Google Workspace or Azure)
- Familiarity with SAML 2.0 concepts
- Access to your organization’s domain settings
With these prerequisites met, you’re ready to proceed with configuring SSO for your organization.
Configuration #️⃣
Navigate to the Localazy Console - Single Sign-On. Follow the documentation at your identity provider to add Localazy as a new app and then fill in both configuration pages with the required data.
If you are using Google Workspace or Microsoft Azure/Entra ID, you can click on the Instructions button to open a detailed walkthrough of all the steps needed.
You will find the information you’ll need to provide to your identity provider at the bottom of the screen:
- ACS URL
- Entity ID
- Start URL
- Logout URL
Role mapping #️⃣
You can also choose the default organization role for new users or set up custom role mapping. Role mapping allows you to automatically assign specific Localazy roles based on user attributes from your identity provider.
Allowed values for role mapping are (see user roles for more details):
none
→ the user is not allowed to access Localazytranslator
(default) → the user is a normal Translatortrusted_translator
→ the user is a Trusted translatorreviewer
→ the user is a Reviewermanager
→ the user is a Managerowner
→ the user is an Owner
