How credits work #️⃣
Credits are a shared currency used across all Localazy translation services:
- Professional human translation (CLT) - charged per word translated
- Machine translation - charged per word translated
- AI features - charged per word translated/result delivered
All services draw from the same credit balance, giving you flexibility in how you use your translation budget.
Credits included in your subscription #️⃣
Each subscription plan includes a monthly credit allocation that resets at the start of your billing cycle. These credits are non-stackable - unused credits from the current month don’t carry over to the next month.

MT Words and AI Words columns show approximate translation capacity when using credits exclusively for that service type.
The annual plans receive 10x the credits and they renew each year.
Purchasing additional credits #️⃣
When your subscription credits run out, or you need more for ordering professional translations, you can purchase additional credits at any time:
- Navigate to your Organization’s billing section
- Go to “Services -> Overview”
- Click on the “+ Increase” button
- Select the desired amount and complete the purchase
Purchased credits are added immediately to your account balance. These credits do not expire!
Credit usage priority #️⃣
Credits are consumed in this order:
- Subscription credits (included with your plan)
- Additional purchased credits
Service-specific pricing #️⃣
Different services consume credits at different rates:
- Machine Translation: $0.0004 per translated word.
- Localazy AI Translation: Between $0.0035 and $0.008 per word.
- Professional Human Translation: Pricing varies by language pair and service level (learn more)
- Additional AI features: Pricing will be announced when these features launch
Future AI integration #️⃣
The credit system is designed to support upcoming AI-powered QA and analytic features. When these features become available, they’ll use the same credit balance, providing a unified payment system across all services.
