🗂️ Translation table & filters in early access 🔗
We redesigned the translation table to be more flexible, suitable for faster inline editing, clearer status visibility, and better bulk work. You can resize and reorder displayed columns to fit your screen with the data you need. The new table also comes with a new approach to building filters, with better conditional logic and rules you can work with.
New translation table 🔗
The new table brings a lot of the usual translation workflow into one place, including:
- inline editing for translations and supported source text.
- staged changes with a dedicated Save changes bar instead of immediate saves.
- a warning if you try to leave with unsaved edits.
- richer columns for things like priority, source details, tags, dates, and translation metadata.
- improved bulk selection with grouped batch actions and word/character stats.
- row actions for approve, send to review, mark needs improvement, mark source changed, delete, pretranslate, and translation memory.
- support for editing plurals and arrays.
- better keyboard access, including easier movement between plural and array forms.
We also made export behavior easier to understand directly in the table. Translation cells now indicate what will actually be exported, including approved text, pending unapproved text where allowed, source fallback behavior, or omitted values based on file settings.
New filters 🔗
You can now create custom filters for any combination of conditions. Save them as presets for you or all organization members with a custom name and emoji. 🙃
🧩 Custom placeholder detection 🔗
Localazy can automatically detect code markup and placeholders in your strings and protect them from translation. The default set includes 15 placeholder definitions, and now you can define your own special rules using regular expressions.
Go to Project settings > General > Placeholders to set up your own. All placeholders defined here are detected in the translation table and translation editor, and if the target translation does not include the placeholder used in the source string, you will get a validation error.
🏷️ Human translation services filter by tag or priority 🔗
Human translation services can now be scoped directly by using tags and priority.
By default, our human translation services continuously process every new string or change in your source language to keep your project at 100% at all times. If you want to include only a specific subset of strings for our human translators and reviewers, you can use any tag or priority and then include or exclude them.
🧭 New main navigation 🔗
The new navigation that entered opt-out early preview in August will soon be the default for everyone using Localazy. Enjoy faster switching between projects and everything staying in one place!

⚙️ Background operations overview 🔗
We introduced a new Background operations page to help you monitor the progress of batch operations happening behind the scenes in your project.
This view shows active and recently finished operations in one place, including their status, type, trigger, run time, and useful context like affected language, engine, or key count when available. From the same overview, managers can also pause, resume, or cancel operations before they finish.
📄 New document formats supported 🔗
Localazy now supports DOCX, PPTX, ODT, ODP, ICML, IDML, HTML, and EPUB formats with a new parser that preserves formatting and splits the file content into multiple keys. Try it and let us know what you think!
💜 Strapi plugin now supports rich text fields 🔗
The Strapi integration now supports Strapi 5 Blocks rich text fields in content transfer. You can select these fields in setup and translate them with Localazy while preserving the original document structure on import.
🐇 Directus two-way translation sync 🔗
There's also news about our Directus integration! Automated two-way translation syncs and full v12 support are now available for this CMS. More details on Dan's update here.
🛠️ Other platform improvements 🔗
- Login methods: Project contributors and organization members tables now show this column for managers and owners, listing each user's available sign-in methods, including organization-specific SSO.
- Batch Approve and Send to review: It can now be be limited to source keys (with a selected tag or multiple tags) in the language list.
- Clearer organization member page: The detail page has a new layout, with clearer role selection, better permissions handling, lock reason display, and an unsaved changes warning when editing member settings.
- In-context screenshots: You can now zoom in, out, change the percentage value directly, and use the mouse to move around the image (just like in any image viewer app).
- New option to enable exact match search in translations, which returns keys whose text exactly matches your search term, instead of also showing longer strings that merely contain it. This is especially useful when working with short or ambiguous terms that need more precise results.
- Better source key tag experience: Adding and managing tags is now smoother and more reliable.
- New Advanced permissions page for organization members, with the option to allow users without the Owner role to purchase additional credits using connected payment methods, and activate or deactivate Human translation services provided by Localazy across all projects.
🐛 Bug fixes 🔗
- Organization members and invitations tables no longer crash for organizations that use the Member role, and unknown roles now show a neutral label instead of breaking the page.
- Source-language uploads now always import into the project's source language, while detected language is used only for warnings.
- Comment text now wraps at natural word boundaries while still breaking very long unbroken strings to avoid overflow.
- The Access keys project page no longer shows the obsolete Android Security section.
- Glossary language management now excludes deleted project languages from in-project lists, seeding, bulk selection, and import mapping, while keeping glossary translations that still use those languages.
- Glossary search options no longer show a false active-filter count or active state when no glossary filters are selected.
- Machine translation now preserves placeholders, entities, whitespace, and line breaks more reliably across Google and DeepL, reducing broken output in translated strings.
- We fixed an issue that could incorrectly block uploads of Xcode String Catalog files.
- Fixed .xcstrings file upload. These are JSON-based under the hood and could previously be misidentified as plain JSON and flagged as the wrong format, even when Xcode String Catalogs were selected correctly.
- Re-saving flagged translations now works even without text changes. When a translation is marked as Source changed or Needs improvement, saving it again now correctly triggers an update even if the translation text wasn't edited.
- We fixed a frustrating issue on the Style guide page where discarding one edited field could also wipe unsaved changes in another field. Now, the Discard, Save, and Clear actions only affect the field they belong to, so you can safely edit multiple style guide fields at once without losing unrelated work.
