Do translators see a character counter or character limits while translating?

No. The translation editor doesn’t show a running character count or display the limit while someone works on a key. Localazy checks the count only after a translation is entered, whether a linguist typed it in the editor or machine translation or AI translation filled it in. Any entry that exceeds the limit gets marked as invalid, so reviewers catch it before the content ships.

If translators need to know the limit while they work, add it to the key’s comment so they see it in context. Read more about QA checks.
