Kotlin

An open-source statically typed programming language that targets the JVM, Android, JavaScript, and Native.

Kotlin is a programming language developed by JetBrains.

As a statically typed programming language, it can be run on multiple operating systems. Kotlin also has both object-oriented and functional constructs.

It’s a general-purpose programming language which means it can run on JVM, Android, and JavaScript.

Andrey Breslav, Kotlin’s development lead, said Kotlin is designed to be an industrial-strength object-oriented language, and a “better language” than Java, but still be fully interoperable with Java code, allowing companies to make a gradual migration from Java to Kotlin.
