What are source keys?

A source key is a segment of text stored in Localazy, representing content in your source language. It’s a single string of text in your source language, e.g., a button label or a short paragraph of text in a dialogue window of your application. It can even be a short blog article written in Markdown syntax. In the picture below, there are three source keys; as you can see, each contains a different type of content.

You can imagine a source key as a single row in a spreadsheet you were previously using for translations.

Translations to other languages are unlimited, and translating your project to more languages does not affect the number of source keys used. I.e., the content of one source key translated into 10 languages still counts as one source key.

What happens when I reach the source key limit?

Accepted Answer

Don’t worry! You will still be able to use Localazy and all features in your plan without any restrictions. However, you won’t be able to publish your changes until you upgrade your plan.

How can I increase the source key limit?

Accepted Answer

You can increase your source key limit plus unlock additional features by upgrading to a higher tier.

What happens when I want to upgrade?

Accepted Answer

When the Free plan is not enough, and you decide to upgrade to one of our paid plans, you can choose between monthly and annual billing periods.

The increased source key limit and all features are available immediately after purchase and are active as long as your subscription continues.

When you switch to a higher paid tier, you are billed proportionally less depending on the duration remaining in your current plan.

I.e., you upgrade from monthly Autopilot ($89/mo) to Business ($199/mo) in the middle of the billing period. Your plan is immediately upgraded, and about $45 is deducted from the initial upgrade purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel the Localazy subscription, please follow these steps:

Navigate to the billing section.
Click on the Manage Plans button on the card with your current plan.

Click on the Cancel button on the bottom of the column with your active plan.
Provide your reason for cancellation and confirm.

The subscription will cancel at the end of the billing period.

How can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

If you, for any reason, wish to delete your Localazy account, you can do so by following the below steps.

Navigate to the Edit profile page.
Find and expand the “Danger Zone” at the bottom of the page.
Click “Delete my profile” and confirm.

Please note that this action is irreversible, and all your data will be lost!

Do I need to enter a payment card to test Localazy before I present it to the team?

Accepted Answer

Every new account comes with a 14-day trial period with the Business Plan active to try all the features before committing to a paid subscription, so you can test all of the integrations before you pay. You can also send us a message to request additional seven days if you need more time to test everything out!

How to delete a project in Localazy?

To delete a project you don’t need:

Open the project
In the left submenu, go to the Settings - General settings
Scroll down and unfurl the ADVANCED SETTINGS to display the options
From there, you can delete the project completely or wipe the project data only.

How to transfer my translation project to another organization in Localazy?

Accepted Answer

By default, each user has an organization created upon signing up to Localazy. Teams often ask one person to test Localazy and later create an official organization under the manager’s account, where they invite everyone once they are fully ready to start using Localazy. However, the projects are already established under the organization of the first team member, and setting everything up again from scratch would cost more resources. That’s why Localazy allows you to transfer projects between organizations.

Here’s how to do it:

The transfer can be performed only by a user who is an Owner in both organizations. Make sure you have the required role in both organizations.
Navigate to the your Dashboard and click on the three-dot menu in the corner of the project card.
Select Transfer to other organization.
A window will appear asking you to choose the target organization
To prevent accidents, there is also a field where you must type the name of the project you want to transfer.
Confirm to finish the transfer.

Is it possible to downgrade or pause a subscription?

Accepted Answer

While we understand the need for flexibility with your subscription, we currently do not offer the option to pause a subscription. However, you do have the ability to cancel your subscription and renew it at a later time when you’re ready.

How can I delete an organization?

You can’t delete an organization on your own, but we can help. Just submit a support request with the organization you want to delete, and we’ll take care of it. Then you can create a new organization as needed.
