All newly created accounts include a 14-day Business Plan trial period to try all the features before committing to a paid subscription, so you can test the platform before you pay. What are source keys?

Accepted Answer

A source key is a segment of text stored in Localazy, representing content in your source language. It’s a single string of text in your source language, e.g., a button label or a short paragraph of text in a dialogue window of your application. It can even be a short blog article written in Markdown syntax. In the picture below, there are three source keys; as you can see, each contains a different type of content.

You can imagine a source key as a single row in a spreadsheet you were previously using for translations.

Examples of source keys in localazy

Translations to other languages are unlimited, and translating your project to more languages does not affect the number of source keys used. I.e., the content of one source key translated into 10 languages still counts as one source key.

What happens when I reach the source key limit?

Accepted Answer

Don’t worry! You will still be able to use Localazy and all features in your plan without any restrictions. However, you won’t be able to publish your changes until you upgrade your plan.

How can I increase the source key limit?

Accepted Answer

You can increase your source key limit plus unlock additional features by upgrading to a higher tier.

What does the "Feature coming soon" mean?

These features are not yet available for use. These features are currently planned or already in the development process and will be available immediately when released for customers in respective tiers.

Can I use Localazy for free?

Yes, our free plan includes all core localization features and everything you need to successfully and conveniently localize your app on your own or with help from volunteers.

What happens when I want to upgrade?

Accepted Answer

When the Free plan is not enough, and you decide to upgrade to one of our paid plans, you can choose between monthly and annual billing periods.

The increased source key limit and all features are available immediately after purchase and are active as long as your subscription continues.

When you switch to a higher paid tier, you are billed proportionally less depending on the duration remaining in your current plan.

I.e., you upgrade from monthly Autopilot ($89/mo) to Business ($199/mo) in the middle of the billing period. Your plan is immediately upgraded, and about $45 is deducted from the initial upgrade purchase.

Does Localazy offer refunds?

Localazy does not offer refunds. But don’t worry, every account comes with a 14-day trial period with the Business Plan active to try all the features before committing to a paid subscription, so you can test the platform before you pay.

And if you decide you no longer need our help in the future, you can cancel your plan at any time with no additional fees and no hard feelings. 😊

What are translation credits?

Translation credits are the unified currency that powers all of Localazy’s translation services. Instead of separate billing for each feature, credits work across machine translation, professional human translation, and AI-powered tools from a single balance.

How credits work:

Your subscription includes monthly credits that automatically renew each billing cycle. These credits are sized to cover typical translation volumes for teams at your subscription level. Most users won’t need to think about credits - they just handle your regular translation work in the background.

What credits cover:

Machine & AI translation: Localazy AI translation, bulk machine translation and Automations
Professional human translation: Continuous localization services with real translators
AI features: Upcoming AI-powered tools for quality, validation and analyses

Getting more credits:

If you’re processing larger volumes or want to use professional translation services, you can purchase additional credits anytime. These purchased credits don’t expire, unlike the monthly included credits.

Navigate to your Organization’s billing section
Go to “Services -> Overview”
Click on the “+ Increase” button
Select the desired amount and complete the purchase

The key benefit:

Credits give you flexibility to use your translation budget however makes sense for your project. Spend them all on machine translation for speed, professional translation for quality, or mix and match based on your content needs.

Your regular translation workflows (like in-editor suggestions) stay completely free and don’t use any credits.
