Zendesk Localization with Localazy #️⃣

Zendesk is a customer service platform that provides tools for managing support tickets, customer interactions, and help center content.

Prerequisites #️⃣
To use this integration, you must have a Zendesk account with access to the Help Center. You will need three pieces of information: the URL of your Zendesk instance, the email address of a user with access to the Help Center, and an API key.
Zendesk URL
Enter the full URL of your Zendesk instance, for example: https://{your-subdomain}.zendesk.com.
Enter the email address of a user who has access to the Help Center.
API Key
Follow the steps in this guide to generate an API key: Managing access to the Zendesk API.
Install the Zendesk Integration #️⃣
Follow these steps to integrate Zendesk with Localazy:

Click the Install button to begin the installation.

In the integration interface, enter all three pieces of information from the previous step, then click the Connect Zendesk Account button.

Manual Content Import #️⃣

Open the Zendesk integration interface and make sure you’re connected to your Zendesk account.

Click the Import to Localazy tab.

Click the Start Import button to start the import process.
Manual Content Export #️⃣

Open the Zendesk integration interface and make sure you’re connected to your Zendesk account.

Click the Export to Zendesk tab.

Click the Start Export button to start the export process.
Settings #️⃣
Optional choices are available for users to adjust the import and export process.
Import to Localazy
The following options are available for importing translations from Zendesk into Localazy.
- Skip Empty Entries Import
- Prevent the import of empty translation keys.
- Import Existing Entries
- Import existing translations from Zendesk to Localazy.
- Set Zendesk as Source of Truth
- Import all translations and set them as the current version. By default, Localazy doesn't overwrite existing current versions for translations and lets you decide through the review process.
Export to Zendesk
The following options are available for exporting translations from Localazy to Zendesk.
- Export new as source
- Export new articles languages to Zendesk with the same status as the source.
- Export new as draft
- Export new articles languages to Zendesk as a draft.
- Export new as published
- Export new articles languages to Zendesk as published.
